Carver Sports
Carver Community Center is known as the Mecca of Youth Basketball in Midcentral Indiana, providing a safe and enriching space for athletes of all ages. Our K-12 co-ed league, Fall girls league, and adult leagues uphold high standards, using basketball as a tool to engage youth and families while fostering educational opportunities.
Beyond basketball, pickleball is on the rise at Carver! With a dedicated community of players, we welcome all to join in on the excitement and competition.
Carver Education
For over 70 years, Carver Community Center has been a hub for educational growth, staying true to Reverend Perry’s vision of fostering learning beyond the classroom. Today, we continue that mission with after-school tutoring, computer lab access and training, and hands-on STEAM programs like Robotics, ensuring youth are equipped with the skills for academic success and future careers.
Art Programs
UnderTone Music and Fine Arts program, a partnership between the Carver Center and the nonprofit organization H.A.R.T. To Heart (Helping Achieve Reality Together). Founded by Pastor Wendell Brown, UnderTone was born out of a deep love for the arts and a desire to honor the legacy of local musicians throughout Kokomo’s history.
UnderTone is open to everyone, offering weekly lessons in a wide range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, creative dance, vocals, keyboard, drums, lead guitar, bass guitar, woodwind instruments and more. The program is designed to be accessible and inclusive, welcoming participants of all skill levels—from beginners to seasoned artists looking to refine their craft.
